Welcome to the Hide and Encrypt Help. Below you will find information pertaining to the layout of the program.

Hide and Encrypt

Step One: Select your encryption options

Step Two: Add files that you would like to encrypt.

Step Three: Select or create your standard *.hae file or select an image or sound file to hide your encrypted files.

Step Four: Enter your passphrase. (The Lone wolf swims at midnight.)

Step Five: Click the Hide and Encrypt button and watch the action status work.

Decrypt and Reveal

Step One: Select your source file. This will either be an image or sound file or a *.hae file.

Step Two: Select your destination folder to extract and decrypt the information.

Step Three: Enter the passphrase for the encrypted file. (The Lone wolf swims at midnight.)

Step Four: Click the Decrypt and Reveal button and watch the action status perform it's work.

File Shredder

Step One: Add the files to the list that you would like to Shred.

Step Two: Select your shred time. This will be the number of times the files is shredded or wiped.

Step Three: Select your Shred type. Either quick (Internal HAE Shred) or DoD compliant.

Step Four: Click the Shred Files button and watch the action status perform it's work.

Customize Hide and Encrypt

Click on Help | Customize from the main Hide and Encrypt screen to get to the customization screen. On this screen you can set the default destination directory for the decrypt and reveal screen, enable or disable the music or sound effects, enable whether or not hints will display or increase or decrease the file compression level.

Hide and Encrypt Digital Signatures

Password Protect Digital Library
Enable this option to require a password when entering the digital signatures screen.

Show Password
Enable this options to remove the hide option to show your password in regular text format.

Add
Click this button to add a new signature.

Edit
Click this button to edit an existing signature.

Delete
Click this button to delete a selected signature.

Clear All
Click this button to clear all existing signatures

Use Signature to Encrypt
Clicking this button will automatically insert the passphrase for this user signature on the Hide and Encrypt screen.

Use Signature to Decrypt
Clicking this button will automatically insert the passphrase for this user signature on the Decrypt and Reveal screen.

Import Signature(s)
Click this button to import signatures that were sent to your or that you have exported for backup.

Export Signature(s)
Click this button to export a selected signature. If the Multiple Signature Export option is checked then multiple signatures may be exported at one time.
